Benelli IMPERIALE 400 Overview
The Benelli Imperiale 400 arrives at dealerships with a series of technical and aesthetic innovations designed to improve rideability and performance while enhancing its vintage style.
A classic bike from the Leoncino Company, the Imperiale 400 is a reinterpretation of a historical Benelli-MotoBi model from the 1950s. It now features new graphics that highlight its retro soul, including a three-dimensional Benelli logo in silver on the tank, updated tank pad textures, and a new logo under the seat, giving it an even more elegant and captivating look. Significant updates also include 19″ front and 18″ rear wheels fitted with Maxxis Promaxx 100/90 front and 130/80 rear tires, ensuring maximum reliability on the road in any condition, even in the wet.
The heart of the Imperiale 400 is its new single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine, updated for Euro5 compliance. With a single overhead camshaft timing system and electronic fuel injection, it offers maximum fuel economy in any riding condition. The engine produces 21 hp (15.5 kW) at 5500 rpm and 29 Nm (2.95 kgm) of torque at 4500 rpm. The Euro 5 version retains the same configuration as its predecessor but includes updates to the intake and exhaust systems to meet new regulations. The secondary air system reduces emissions during startup, and the new ECU DELPHI MT05.3 calibration optimizes performance while significantly reducing fuel consumption (3.1 l/100 km).
The Imperiale 400 is extremely easy to ride and handle, featuring a compact and durable double cradle frame made of steel tubes and plates. The front suspension includes a telescopic fork with 41 mm diameter legs and 121 mm travel, while the rear has a swinging arm with double shock absorbers and 55 mm travel. The design of the exhaust and chrome inserts accentuate the vintage style, reinforced by the round front headlight and teardrop tank, bringing out the motorcycle’s true essence.
The effective and balanced braking system features dual-channel ABS with a 300 mm front disc and two-piston floating caliper, and a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper, ensuring full control. The aluminum alloy rims come in different diameters: 19″ at the front and 18″ at the back, with 100/90 and 130/80 tires respectively.
The Imperiale 400 is available in Red, Black, and Silver.
