Born to travel, the TRK 702 is Benelli’s new model designed for both long journeys on endless roads and comfortable city rides. This all-round tourer offers maximum comfort for both rider and passenger, providing an excellent riding experience without compromising on fun. Developed by Benelli’s R&D and Style Centre in Pesaro, the TRK 702 expands the TRK range and positions itself in the mid-range category.

Powered by a new 698 cc twin-cylinder engine, the TRK 702 delivers 70 hp (51.5 kW) at 8000 rpm and 70 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. This engine features double overhead camshaft timing with 4 valves per cylinder, chain drive, and a crankshaft with 180° offset crank pins. The electronic fuel injection system uses a 41 mm double throttle body. The transmission includes a clutch-side removable 6-speed gearbox and a wet slipper clutch with a torque converter, ensuring smooth and precise gear shifts while reducing clutch lever force.

The bike’s traditional trellis frame with steel plates, derived from the 500cc model, guarantees handling and stability in all conditions, making it ideal for long journeys. The suspension system features an upside-down fork with 50 mm legs and 140 mm travel at the front, and a swinging arm with a central monoshock, adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping, with a travel of 45 mm (154 mm at the wheel).

Comfort and functionality define the TRK 702. It comes standard with a large headlight fairing for optimal protection, backlit handlebar controls for night visibility, and optional heated handgrips and rider seat. The braking system includes dual 320 mm diameter semi-floating discs with four-piston calipers at the front, and a 260 mm diameter disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. The 17” aluminum alloy rims are fitted with Pirelli Angel GT 120/70 and 160/60 tires.

Designed for travel, the TRK 702 features a 20-liter fuel tank and comfortable passenger handles that double as stylistic design features. It also includes a full LED headlight unit and a high-resolution 5” TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing phone calls and notifications to be displayed. The handlebar controls enable answering or ending calls, and with a phone-mirroring solution via a downloadable app, the dashboard can function as a navigator.
